Hello and welcome to my blog!
I’m Bastian Oliver, a freelance journalist with a passion for writing and exploring new ideas. My professional journey is as diverse as the topics I cover on my blog.
My background
I worked as a freelance journalist for 12 years, where I honed my research and writing skills. Alongside this, I worked in a palliative care unit, which gave me deep insights into the healthcare industry and the human psyche. I am currently working in the IT industry, where I continue to develop my analytical skills and technical knowledge.
Topics of my blog
In my blog at bastianoliver.nl I cover a wide range of topics that are close to my heart:
- Human rights and the environment: I highlight critical issues such as the human right to clean drinking water and the exploitation of water resources by large corporations such as Nestlé.
- Mental health: I am particularly interested in the crisis of the male psyche and the problem of suicide
- Career development and headhunting: I share my experiences and insights from the world of headhunting and corporate management, with a focus on diversity and inclusion.
- Societal challenges: From political and economic analysis to personal development topics, my blog is a place for deep discussion and critical thinking.
Why I write
Writing is more than just a profession for me – it’s a way to organize my thoughts, discover new perspectives and inspire others to think. I firmly believe that by sharing ideas and experiences, we can grow together and make the world a better place.
